Back In The Saddle - (I hope)

After A Number of false starts this last 2 years I think I'm finally back behind the paintbrush. Have realised watercolour is the preferred medium - though not throwing the oils out ju-u-u-st yet, and having like minded company for atmosphere. I'm finding working in watercolour amazingly medative, far more han any time spent with the oils. And I'm loving the calm, the peace and the surprises...

So Fussy

This one's taking a while - which is great ... meditative and quieting. Linda helped with the fading of the background. I just wasn't heavy handed enough.

few more weeks to go yet. Cold nights on a Tuesday with lovely company and tea (sometimes)

oh so slack

What can I say - I've not blogged for a few months and have no excuse. art classes have been wonderful but computer skills have been avoided. Procrastination rules - I should be working not blogging and this I think is the block - however here is the most recent effort, a bend in a new zealand river - long off being finished but the journeys the best part

Cards

Am trying to organise the Midsummer Cards for this year. This is Design number one which will be scaled down to an A6 size or there abouts. Sadly the colour has drained in this photo it's actually more and indigo back ground down to an olivy green .. supposed to be a crepe myrtle but I'll leave that up to your imagination.

Rainbows

This is the latest attempt at finger painting and belive me I'm getting filthy doing it - it's a bit dodgy and a long way from finished but I do like tree..

It's taken from a photo I took out of the office window on a blustery day .... as it's spring the tree is now covered in buds.

I love watching the seasons.
